Born and raised in the town of Ipoh in Malaysia,Ping grew up with amazing food around her and was inspired by her mother’s cookery. This passion was apparent during MasterChef, and since being crowned winner Ping has returned to MasterChef as a guest judge and has become a global ambassador for Malaysian food.
From Chilli crab and caramel pork, spicy laksas and rendangs, satays and tangy sambals. Ping has put together over 100 delicious recipes that serve as a perfect introduction to the tastes and textures of Malaysian cooking. All of the recipes are intensely satisfying to make, share and devour!

In her debut book Malaysia: Recipes from a Family Kitchen, Ping Coombes shares all the secrets and delights of this extraordinary cuisine.Ping has recently launched her first solo dining project Ping Pan-Asian.
