Omar Allibhoy and his book Spanish Made Simple
Spanish food is no longer the preserve of summer holidays, as Omar Allibhoy’s Spanish Made Simple makes it incredibly easy to create authentic Spanish flavours at home. Omar, the man behind Tapas Revolution restaurants who has worked for both Ferran Adrià and Gordon Ramsay, introduces us to the home-cooked meals that are widely enjoyed across Spain: the food he grew up with in Madrid and that he cooks every day.
Omar’s philosophy is simple: you can cook without fuss and still eat like a king. "The dishes I grew up with have left an indelible mark on my heart”, says Omar, "my aim is to convince everyone to add some of my favourites to their weekly repertoire at home”.
Omar will be in conversation with Chris Galvin at the Food Book Club at Galvin Green Man on Tuesday 20th November at midday. Tickets cost £45 including a signed copy of Spanish Made Simple rrp £20 and two courses cooked from the book.
