One of the oldest pubs in Essex

The Galvin Green Man pub is thought to be one of the oldest pubs in Essex dating back to 1341, with a roaring fire, beams and well stocked bar serving locally brewed craft beers, it is a great place to come in from the cold and enjoy classic pub dishes such as Galvin deluxe burger or a hand-made pie. Dogs are welcome.

The restaurant, housed in a stunning glass orangery, serves modern British seasonal food against a panoramic backdrop of the meadow, beer garden and the river Chelmer in one direction and into the kitchen in another. Two huge roaring woodburners provide a warm respite from the winter weather.
