Brunch may feel like a modern invention but it first appears in print in the magazine Hunter's Weekly in 1895. Author Guy Beringer who coined the term wrote: "Brunch is cheerful, sociable and inciting... It puts you in a good temper, it makes you satisfied with yourself and your fellow beings, it sweeps away the worries and cobwebs of the week."
With that sort of sell, no wonder it became popular and has inspired us to launch our brunch menu at Galvin HOP. Available from 11.30am until 4pm, we've put together a range of classic dishes from a light fresh fruit salad or Greek yoghurt and Galvin granola, via toasted sourdough with eggs and salmon to richly satisfying Eggs Benedict with plenty more besides.
Brunch menu is available every Saturday, Sunday & Bank Holiday from 11.30am until 4pm at Galvin HOP.
