The Galvin Green Man pub is a return home for Michelin starred Essex-born brothers, Chris & Jeff Galvin. Already awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand, the Green man is set in 1.5 acres of peaceful meadow amidst the beautiful Essex countryside with the River Chelmer running through the beer garden. The charming Green Man is said to be one of the oldest pubs in Essex built in 1341. With its roaring fires and cosy timber framed bar serving local craft beers, it even boasts a bus stop at its front door - ideal for indulging in a drink or two in the Essex Pub of The Year.
As an addition to the pub, the Galvin Brothers have added a stunning restaurant boasting panoramic views delivering a refined British menu made of carefully sourced, seasonal ingredients.
The Galvin Green Man has four private dining rooms available for up to 12 guests, ideal for business or family & friends, with bespoke menus and also our popular 'Host a roast' sharing menus, each room has the latest flat screen technology, is air conditioned and overlooks the idyllic countryside.
